One wind turbine less near weiher

One wind turbine less near weiher

The plans for the "burgerwindpark trabelsdorfer hof" wind farm have become a number smaller. After the project developer roland losel had presented his plans for the center in the municipal council meeting on 4. After having spoken about the erection of five wind turbines in february, he now presented a new planning variant to the community of viereth-trunstadt.

This had already been presented by losel in the meeting at the beginning of february as a so-called "reasonable model" with regard to the number and the possible location variants presented. The community council spoke in favor of this "common sense model", taking into account the concerns of the community, in particular for the possible development of weiher for four wind turbines instead of the five originally planned.

Who caused a stir with a short visit to lahm

A spectacular natural spectacle took place in the itzgrund on ground thursday. Four storks have drawn their circles above the castle church and the nesting aid erected last year. But probably it will have been only a short visit of the stork platform, because after a few minutes the spectacle was over – and also in the following time the nesting aid remained empty. Here you can read how the 2018 stork season went in coburg county

However, this does not necessarily mean that the platform at the southern entrance to the village of lahm is unsuitable. Bird experts assume that it can take several years before a man-made nesting aid is discovered and accepted by storks. Too late were storks, which want to settle in the southern itzgrund, at present in no case. Hans-peter schonecker, who keeps an eye on the stork population at the coburg district group of the state association for the protection of birds (lbv), says: "breeding is still promising until about the end of april." Especially in the case of birds returning from their wintering grounds in africa via the long eastern route, it is often not until the middle/end of april before they have arrived in their breeding grounds to the north and east. So the stork then also there only begins with the egg-laying.

In hallerndorf, manure is now being turned into clean electricity

Four certified organic farmers and naturstrom AG held a biogas festival at the
hallerndorf business park presents its new community project to the public. All those involved think highly of the new project and believe they have taken a major step towards an economically and ecologically sound future. "We are breaking new ground with this biogas plant", explains managing director christof thoss during the tours of the plant.

They had been joined by some visitors. "Biogas without any corn at all – is that possible??", many visitors wanted to know from the operators. The operators explained the new project in detail. The principle is that only residual materials from the biofuel kilns are fermented. Mainly clover grass, which is a by-product of the crop rotation, will be used. In addition, more grass, intercrops, manure and gulle. The project partners in the hallerndorf plant can therefore dispense with the highly controversial use of corn, not least against the background of rising food prices.

Markt pressig is proud of three successful schoolgirls

Markt pressig is proud of three successful schoolgirls

The market town of pressig is proud of three schoolgirls who have graduated from secondary schools with "very good" grades have graduated. Since he took office ten years ago, mayor hans pietz has been delighted for the eleventh time to praise, thank and recognize schoolgirls for their outstanding achievements on behalf of the market town of pressig.
The head of the community congratulated theresa tumbach in the town hall of pressig on her outstanding graduation from the kaspar-zeub- gymnasium in kronach with a grade of 1.2. Linda rosenbaum also achieved an excellent final examination at the frankenwaldgymnasium with a final grade of 1.9. And daria wachter was also able to receive congratulations from the head of the community for her intermediate school leaving certificate (MSA), which she also achieved with a terrific 1.5 final grade.
Pietz first reviewed the past eleven honorees. He was able to look back on 43 honors received so far from successful graduates with outstanding A-levels or msas, and on other young citizens whom he was able to congratulate for special achievements in their apprenticeships or for graduating with outstanding grades.
Turning to the three youngest honorees, pietz said: "the biggest part of your life so far has been determined by the years at school, the teachers, the school friends, the learning and the school-specific experiences of success. Your life will now be guided by new criteria. The next step is to enter a vocational training program or continue with school education. It would make me very happy as mayor if you would not forget your home community in the future and, depending on your living situation, continue to live here or return later or come to visit."

Two start with the treasury

While for linda rosenbaum the intended dual study course for tourism and economics leads to nurnberg, where she will alternate between practical training at the maritim hotel and theory at university. The path of the other two successful graduates, on the other hand, leads to the tax office. Theresa tumbach is also taking the path of dual studies, but her path leads to the kronach tax office. From here, she will alternate between a practical semester, probably in kronach, and the university semester in herrsching or ansbach.
Daria wachter is also drawn to the tax office in kronach. In a two-year training program starting on 1. She will start her secondary education in kronach in september and will probably have to go to munich later on, she says.
Daria wachter's main hobby is also music. She plays the clarinet with the pressig music association and has already achieved the bronze performance badge of the north bavarian music association, she says proudly.

Step into normality

Step into normality

"… And then came corona!" This was probably the most spoken (half) sentence at the general meeting of the DJK/FC seblach on saturday evening in the sportheim. The shutdown as a result of the corona pandemic also brought severe cuts to club life and all sporting activities. Now the association dared to take the first step back to normality and held the new elections, which had originally been scheduled for march.

"This is a very special meeting, said font stephan leicht at his funeral service. Never before had the club held its regular event in the hall. Only here could the requirements imposed by the district administration office with hygiene concept, distance rules and mouth-nose mask when walking around in the room be observed. Furthermore, there was no service at the place, no glaziers (auber weibbierglaser) and lists, in which everyone had to sign in at the individual tables with his contact data. Despite the restrictions, about 50 people came to the event. "We are a great club", commented lightly.

430-Meter-deep lake supplies electricity

The invention is considered the fourth pillar of the energy revolution. The principle seems ingenious: a kind of piston is moved up and down in a house – similar to an engine – displacing water that flows through a turbine and generates electricity. If solar energy is used to power the piston, the result will be something like a "perpetuum mobile."
This system was invented by wunsiedel professor matthias popp, who teaches energy technology at the georg simon ohm technical university in nurnberg. 13 students at the technical university of nurnberg pondered how coarse the patented invention had to be to be able to supply a city the size of forchheim completely with energy. They presented their results at an "energy conference" at the forchheim public utility company. Students of the faculty of mechanical and process engineering worked out a study on how an entire area can be supplied with regenerative energies. The focus was on the stulpmembrane storage system, which according to professor popp is a key component for the energy turnaround.

Enormous dimensions

Given the energy requirements of the city of forchheim, the dimensions of such a plant were enormous. A 430-meter-deep hole had to be dug and concreted for the 130-meter-diameter storage tank. In the middle of this water-filled basin, a piston, which is first cut free and then enclosed, is raised and lowered. "Motor pumps, like those used in pumped storage power plants, lift the piston. When the piston is lowered again, it displaces the water beneath it. The resulting current drives a turbine that generates energy", explains professor popp.
To ensure frictionless movement, the piston must be sealed with an obturator diaphragm. The students calculated that a storage facility of the size described could generate roughly 26 megawatts of electricity, more than half the annual consumption of the forchheim population, including the businesses located here.
The reservoir presented in the study had a capacity of 6.5 million cubic meters of water, which corresponds to the average water consumption of all households in nurnberg in half a year. At the lowest point of the crater, the water had a temperature of 95 degrees celsius. Which means that the environment of the store would heat up over time.
